A bunion is a “red wobbly bit” on the side of an enlarged joint, aka “adventitious bursae”. It’s a localized soft-tissue inflammation from pressure on the joint, for example from shoes that are too small.
Symptoms include
- pain and swelling
- fever (in infection)
- limitation of movement
What to do: bunions need to be seen by your GP to make sure you get the right treatment. In future, wear shoes that fit well and socks with lots of cushioning. For example, HJ’s Cushion Sole SoftopTM. HJ Socks - You can put your foot in no better sock.
